In the early 1980's, Sport's son Scott, who had been actively involved in the business since he was 12 years old, took over the Management of the Lumber and Hardware store. Sport continued to operate the sawmill into the late 1990's.
Shortly after Sport's passing in 1997, Scott moved the business to its current location in the old Gerrity Lumber building on Route One in York.
